How to Convert Multiple AI Files to BMP?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting AI files in under two minutes.
2. Load your AI files
Add AI files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.

3. Select BMP as output format
Pick BMP as the output format. Set the destination folder and optionally configure resolution, quality, or file naming.

4. Start AI to BMP conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.

When finished, your new .bmp files will be waiting in the destination folder.
AI to BMP: what carries over and what does not
AI describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the BMP afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. AI files are often prepared in CMYK for print, and BMP is an RGB format. Colours are converted between the two spaces during the run, and saturated print colours can shift visibly. If the output is heading back to print, keep an untouched copy of the original.
