Vector images can be rescaled without affecting quality, they operate with several layers that can be edited and are generally more suitable for creating graphics. Vector images can contain logos or product designs, charts or maps, brochure or book layouts, and many more. Their downside, however, is that they tend to be large in size and cannot be opened with regular image viewers.
