How to Convert Multiple AI Files to DDS?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your AI files
Load your AI files into reaConverter. You can add individual files or point to folders, and the software will queue everything automatically.
Select AIs from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.
3. Select DDS as output format

AI to DDS: what to expect from the conversion
AI describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the DDS afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. AI files are often prepared in CMYK for print, and DDS is an RGB format. Colours are converted between the two spaces during the run, and saturated print colours can shift visibly. If the output is heading back to print, keep an untouched copy of the original.
