How to Convert Multiple AVIF Images to DCM?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed. Built-in editing tools let you resize, crop, or watermark as you convert.
2. Load your AVIF files
Load your AVIF files into reaConverter. You can add individual files or point to folders, and the software will queue everything automatically.
Select AVIFs from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.

3. Select DCM as output format
Choose DCM for output and set your save location. reaConverter lets you customize quality and apply edits before conversion.

4. Start AVIF to DCM conversion
Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.

After processing, find all your new .dcm files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
Before you convert AVIF to DCM
AVIF can carry an alpha channel and DCM cannot. Transparent areas are composited onto a solid background during conversion, so pick that background colour deliberately: white is the default, and it is rarely the right choice for a logo that will sit on a dark page. DCM is lossless, so nothing further is discarded during conversion. What it cannot do is restore detail that AVIF compression already removed, and the output file will usually be considerably larger.
