How to Convert Multiple EXR Images to ICO?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

Add files by dragging them in, browsing folders, or using the right-click menu from Windows Explorer.

Pick ICO as output format and choose the destination folder where you want to save new .ico files.

4. Start EXR to ICO conversion
Then simply press the Convert button and your conversion will begin in no time!

Once the conversion is complete, you can find your ICO files in the destination folder you selected.
What changes when you convert EXR to ICO
EXR carries 32 bits per channel and ICO carries 8, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to an 8-bit format only at the very end. ICO stores a limited palette rather than full colour, so the conversion has to reduce the number of distinct colours. Photographic content shows this as banding, while flat graphics and icons usually survive it untouched.
