How to Convert Multiple EXR Images to JXR?

How EXR and JXR differ in practice
EXR carries 32 bits per channel and JXR carries 16, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to a 16-bit format only at the very end. EXR stores pixels without compression loss and JXR does not, so this is a one-way step. Choose a high quality setting, and avoid converting the same file back and forth, because each pass compounds the artefacts.
