How to Convert Multiple EXR Images to U3D?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed. Built-in editing tools let you resize, crop, or watermark as you convert.
2. Load your EXR files
Load your EXR files into reaConverter. You can add individual files or point to folders, and the software will queue everything automatically.
Select EXRs from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.

3. Select U3D as output format
Choose U3D for output and set your save location. reaConverter lets you customize quality and apply edits before conversion.

4. Start EXR to U3D conversion
Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.

After processing, find all your new .u3d files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
How EXR and U3D differ in practice
EXR is made of pixels and U3D is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a U3D container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it.
