How to Convert Multiple FIT Images to GIF?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your FIT files
Add FIT files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.

3. Select GIF as output format
Select GIF from the output format list and set your destination folder. You can also adjust quality and compression settings.

FIT to GIF: what carries over and what does not
FIT stores 32-bit greyscale covering the full dynamic range of the scan, and GIF shows 8 bits. The conversion applies a window level, so what ends up visible depends on the window you choose. Decide separately whether patient metadata should be copied to the output or stripped from it. GIF stores a limited palette rather than full colour, so the conversion has to reduce the number of distinct colours. Photographic content shows this as banding, while flat graphics and icons usually survive it untouched.
