How to Convert Multiple FIT Images to PPM?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your FIT files

How FIT and PPM differ in practice
FIT stores 32-bit greyscale covering the full dynamic range of the scan, and PPM shows 8 bits. The conversion applies a window level, so what ends up visible depends on the window you choose. Decide separately whether patient metadata should be copied to the output or stripped from it. One FIT file can hold several pages or frames, while PPM holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
