How to Convert Multiple IFC Files to AI?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter installs quickly on any Windows PC. No dependencies, no bloatware — just a clean setup that's ready to use immediately.
2. Load your IFC files
Add your IFC files to reaConverter. Whether it's a handful or an entire archive, the batch engine processes them efficiently.
Browse for files, drag them in, or add entire folders at once. reaConverter queues everything automatically.

3. Select AI as output format
Pick AI as the output format. Set the destination folder and optionally configure resolution, quality, or file naming.

4. Start IFC to AI conversion
Start the conversion with one click. reaConverter handles everything and notifies you when it's done.

When the batch finishes, your AI files are ready in the destination folder you chose earlier.
How IFC and AI differ in practice
IFC stores a technical drawing with layers and line weights, and AI stores artwork meant for display. Geometry comes across, but drawing conventions such as dimension styles and hatching are flattened into ordinary strokes and fills, which is fine for publishing and awkward if the file needs to go back into CAD.
