How to Convert Multiple IGS Files to IGES?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting IGS files in under two minutes.
2. Load your IGS files
Add IGS files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.
3. Select IGES as output format
Select IGES from the output format list and set your destination folder. You can also adjust quality and compression settings.
4. Start IGS to IGES conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.
When finished, your new .iges files will be waiting in the destination folder.
Before you convert IGS to IGES
IGS and IGES both store drawing entities rather than pixels, so lines, arcs, and text come across as editable geometry. What can be left behind are objects that belong to a specific application, such as proxy entities written by a vertical CAD product. Open the result and check those areas before passing it on.
