How to Convert Multiple JFIF Images to PCX?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter installs quickly on any Windows PC. No dependencies, no bloatware — just a clean setup that's ready to use immediately. Built-in editing tools let you resize, crop, or watermark as you convert.
2. Load your JFIF files
Load your JFIF files into reaConverter. You can add individual files or point to folders, and the software will queue everything automatically.
Select JFIFs from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.

3. Select PCX as output format
Choose PCX for output and set your save location. reaConverter lets you customize quality and apply edits before conversion.

4. Start JFIF to PCX conversion
Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.

After processing, find all your new .pcx files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
How JFIF and PCX differ in practice
PCX stores a limited palette rather than full colour, so the conversion has to reduce the number of distinct colours. Photographic content shows this as banding, while flat graphics and icons usually survive it untouched. PCX is lossless, so nothing further is discarded during conversion. What it cannot do is restore detail that JFIF compression already removed, and the output file will usually be considerably larger.
