1. Download and Install reaConverter
Download reaConverter and install it in seconds. The setup is straightforward — no complex configuration, no extra software required. Need edits? Resize, rotate, or add watermarks during conversion.
2. Load your JXL files
Load your JXL files into reaConverter. You can add individual files or point to folders, and the software will queue everything automatically.
Select JXLs from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.

3. Select PPM as output format

Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.

After processing, find all your new .ppm files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
JXL to PPM: what to expect from the conversion
JXL can carry an alpha channel and PPM cannot. Transparent areas are composited onto a solid background during conversion, so pick that background colour deliberately: white is the default, and it is rarely the right choice for a logo that will sit on a dark page. One JXL file can hold several pages or frames, while PPM holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
