How to Convert Multiple NEF Images to PS?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter installs quickly on any Windows PC. No dependencies, no bloatware — just a clean setup that's ready to use immediately. reaConverter also includes editing tools: resize, crop, rotate, and more.
2. Load your NEF files
Add NEF files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.
Drag-and-drop NEFs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select PS as output format
Select PS as target format and pick where to save results. You can keep default settings or fine-tune the output.

4. Start NEF to PS conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted PS files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
NEF to PS: what carries over and what does not
NEF files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to PS bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. PS is a page format, so each NEF image is placed on a page rather than converted into something else. Two settings decide how the result looks: the DPI, which fixes how large the image sits on the page, and whether a batch becomes one file per image or a single merged document. reaConverter can do either.
