How to Convert Multiple PEF Images to GBR?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed. Apply image edits like resize, crop, or color adjustment while converting.
2. Load your PEF files
Open reaConverter and import your .pef files. No file limits, no slowdowns. Add as many as you need.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.

3. Select GBR as output format
Pick GBR as the output format. Set the destination folder and optionally configure resolution, quality, or file naming.

4. Start PEF to GBR conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.

When finished, your new .gbr files will be waiting in the destination folder.
PEF to GBR: what to expect from the conversion
PEF files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to GBR bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. PEF is made of pixels and GBR is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a GBR container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it.
