How to Convert Multiple PEF Images to GIF?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting PEF files in under two minutes. Built-in editing tools let you resize, crop, or watermark as you convert.
2. Load your PEF files
Open reaConverter and import your .pef files. No file limits, no slowdowns. Add as many as you need.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.

3. Select GIF as output format
Pick GIF as the output format. Set the destination folder and optionally configure resolution, quality, or file naming.

4. Start PEF to GIF conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.

When finished, your new .gif files will be waiting in the destination folder.
How PEF and GIF differ in practice
PEF files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to GIF bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. GIF stores a limited palette rather than full colour, so the conversion has to reduce the number of distinct colours. Photographic content shows this as banding, while flat graphics and icons usually survive it untouched.
