How to Convert Multiple RW2 Images to U3D?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting RW2 files in under two minutes. You can also resize, crop, and adjust images during conversion.
2. Load your RW2 files
Start reaConverter and add your .rw2 files. The software processes everything locally, so your files never leave your computer.
Add files by dragging them in, browsing folders, or using the right-click menu from Windows Explorer.

3. Select U3D as output format
Choose U3D as the target format. Pick a destination folder or let reaConverter save files alongside the originals.

4. Start RW2 to U3D conversion
Then simply press the Convert button and your conversion will begin in no time!

Once the conversion is complete, you can find your U3D files in the destination folder you selected.
How RW2 and U3D differ in practice
RW2 files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to U3D bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. RW2 is made of pixels and U3D is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a U3D container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it.
