How to Convert Multiple SCN Images to TGA?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting SCN files in under two minutes. Apply image edits like resize, crop, or color adjustment while converting.
2. Load your SCN files
Add SCN files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.
You can drag-and-drop files, browse to a folder, or add entire directory trees including subfolders.

3. Select TGA as output format
Select TGA from the output format list and set your destination folder. You can also adjust quality and compression settings.

4. Start SCN to TGA conversion
Click the Convert button to start. reaConverter will process all your files with the settings you selected.

When finished, your new .tga files will be waiting in the destination folder.
Before you convert SCN to TGA
SCN carries 16 bits per channel and TGA carries 8, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to an 8-bit format only at the very end. One SCN file can hold several pages or frames, while TGA holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
