U3D to PPM: what to expect from the conversion

A 3D model has no front of its own, so the PPM shows it from one viewpoint: the angles you set on the X, Y and Z axes, or a preset such as the isometric view. Whatever faces away from that viewpoint is not in the picture, so a part with features on several sides needs several images, which the multiple-frames option renders in one run. U3D describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the PPM afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after.
