VSI to PNG: what to expect from the conversion
PNG is lossless, so nothing further is discarded during conversion. What it cannot do is restore detail that VSI compression already removed, and the output file will usually be considerably larger. One VSI file can hold several pages or frames, while PNG holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
