How to Convert Multiple AI Files to DXF?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
reaConverter is a standalone Windows app — download, install, and start converting AI files in under two minutes.
2. Load your AI files
Add AI files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.
Drag-and-drop AIs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select DXF as output format
Set DXF as output format and select where to save your converted files. Customize quality settings if needed.

4. Start AI to DXF conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted DXF files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
How AI and DXF differ in practice
AI is a design format with no notion of real-world units, while DXF is a drawing format where one unit means one millimetre or one inch. Scale is the thing to watch: the geometry transfers, but the drawing arrives at whatever size the conversion assigns, so check dimensions against a known measurement before machining or plotting from it.
