How to Convert Multiple AI Files to JXL?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed.
2. Load your AI files
Launch reaConverter and drop in your AI files. The software queues everything for batch processing with consistent settings.
Add files by dragging them in, browsing folders, or using the right-click menu from Windows Explorer.

3. Select JXL as output format
Choose JXL as the target format. Pick a destination folder or let reaConverter save files alongside the originals.

4. Start AI to JXL conversion
Then simply press the Convert button and your conversion will begin in no time!

Once the conversion is complete, you can find your JXL files in the destination folder you selected.
How AI and JXL differ in practice
AI describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the JXL afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. AI files are often prepared in CMYK for print, and JXL is an RGB format. Colours are converted between the two spaces during the run, and saturated print colours can shift visibly. If the output is heading back to print, keep an untouched copy of the original.
