How to Convert Multiple ECW Images to PCX?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your ECW files
Start reaConverter and add your .ecw files. The software processes everything locally, so your files never leave your computer.

ECW to PCX: what carries over and what does not
ECW describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the PCX afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. ECW carries 16 bits per channel and PCX carries 8, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to an 8-bit format only at the very end.
