What changes when you convert FITS to PNG
FITS stores 32-bit greyscale covering the full dynamic range of the scan, and PNG shows 8 bits. The conversion applies a window level, so what ends up visible depends on the window you choose. Decide separately whether patient metadata should be copied to the output or stripped from it. One FITS file can hold several pages or frames, while PNG holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
