How to Convert Multiple HEIC Images to STEP?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed. You can also resize, crop, and adjust images during conversion.
2. Load your HEIC files
Launch reaConverter and load the HEIC files you want to convert. Add a few files or thousands, batch processing handles them all.
Drag-and-drop HEICs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select STEP as output format
Set STEP as output format and select where to save your converted files. Customize quality settings if needed.

4. Start HEIC to STEP conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted STEP files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
Before you convert HEIC to STEP
HEIC is made of pixels and STEP is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a STEP container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it. One HEIC file can hold several pages or frames, while STEP holds one image each. reaConverter writes a separate output file per page and numbers them, so a single input can produce a whole folder of results.
