How to Convert Multiple JXL Images to JPEG?

What changes when you convert JXL to JPEG
JXL can carry an alpha channel and JPEG cannot. Transparent areas are composited onto a solid background during conversion, so pick that background colour deliberately: white is the default, and it is rarely the right choice for a logo that will sit on a dark page. JXL and JPEG both compress by discarding data, so this is a re-encode rather than a copy. The output is built from already-compressed pixels, and the artefacts of the first encode are carried into the second.
