How to Convert Multiple PDF Files to AVIF?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
First, grab reaConverter from the download button below. Installation is fast, and the software runs offline — no account or signup needed.
2. Load your PDF files
Launch reaConverter and load the PDF files you want to convert. Add a few files or thousands, batch processing handles them all.
Drag-and-drop PDFs directly into reaConverter or use the folder browser to load entire directories.

3. Select AVIF as output format
Select AVIF as target format and pick where to save results. You can keep default settings or fine-tune the output.

4. Start PDF to AVIF conversion
Press Convert to begin processing. You can watch the progress or minimize and let it run in the background.

Your converted AVIF files will appear in the destination folder as soon as processing completes.
How PDF and AVIF differ in practice
PDF describes geometry rather than pixels, so it has no inherent resolution. The conversion renders it at whatever size you choose, and that choice is final: enlarging the AVIF afterwards will not recover the sharpness. Set the output dimensions or DPI before converting, not after. PDF files are often prepared in CMYK for print, and AVIF is an RGB format. Colours are converted between the two spaces during the run, and saturated print colours can shift visibly. If the output is heading back to print, keep an untouched copy of the original.
