How to Convert Multiple RW2 Images to IGES?
1. Download and Install reaConverter
Install reaConverter for fast RW2 conversion. Quick setup, then you're ready to process entire photo shoots. Apply image edits like resize, crop, or color adjustment while converting.
2. Load your RW2 files
Start reaConverter and add your .rw2 files. The software processes everything locally, so your files never leave your computer.
Select RW2s from a folder or drag-and-drop them directly into the reaConverter window.
3. Select IGES as output format
Choose IGES as the target format. Pick a destination folder or let reaConverter save files alongside the originals.
4. Start RW2 to IGES conversion
Press the Convert button and reaConverter takes care of the rest. Processing time depends on file size and volume.
After processing, find all your new .iges files in the output location. The log shows details for each conversion.
What changes when you convert RW2 to IGES
RW2 files hold unprocessed sensor data, so white balance and exposure are still adjustable. Converting to IGES bakes those decisions into the pixels, and highlight recovery is no longer available afterwards. Set white balance and exposure before the run rather than after. RW2 is made of pixels and IGES is a geometry format, so the two describe images in fundamentally different ways. Check the result before sending it downstream: what matters is whether the output contains editable geometry or a picture placed inside a IGES container, and that determines whether a CAD or design tool can work with it.
