How to Convert Multiple VSI Images to WEBP?
1. Download and Install reaConverter

2. Load your VSI files
Add VSI files to reaConverter. One file or a thousand, the process is the same. Everything runs locally on your machine.

3. Select WEBP as output format
Select WEBP from the output format list and set your destination folder. You can also adjust quality and compression settings.

Before you convert VSI to WEBP
VSI carries 16 bits per channel and WEBP carries 8, so tonal steps get coarser during conversion. It shows up first in smooth gradients such as skies. If the result will be edited further, move to an 8-bit format only at the very end. VSI and WEBP both compress by discarding data, so this is a re-encode rather than a copy. The output is built from already-compressed pixels, and the artefacts of the first encode are carried into the second. Use a high quality setting, and convert from the original whenever you still have it.
